The Japanese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Takeshi Yagi invited the Ambassadors of the Ambassadors Club, together with its president, Dr. h.c. Mania Feilcke-Dierck, to a traditional tea ceremony in his residence.
Among the ambassadors were H.E. Yin Yin Yin Myint (Ambassador of Myanmar), H.E. Rakiah Hj Abd Lamit (Ambassador of Brunei), H.E. Oumou Sall ép. Seck (Ambassador of Mali), H.E. Youngor Sevelee Telewoda (Ambassador of Liberia) and H.E. Sopharath Touch (Ambassador of Cambodia).
The tea ceremony is a centuries-old tradition within the japanese culture and still enjoys great popularity today. Literally translated it is the “tea way”, which comes much closer to the original sense. It is not about performing a ceremony or a ritual, but about a way of life, where the four principles harmony, respect, purity and tranquility play an important role.
The participants were very impressed by the atmosphere and the impact of such a tea ceremony. Especially on stressful days, it helps to find inner peace again.
