On December 2, the Ambassadors Club hosted its annual charity event “Angel Tree”. Un-der the patronage of Dr.h.c. Rudolf Seiters, president of the German Red Cross (DRK), ambassadors of the whole world as well as the guests from politics, economy and society put pretty packed presents under the festively decorated Christmas tree in the Salon Gontard of the Regent Hotel at Gendarmenmarkt.
This year, refugee children receive the Christmas presents in a refugee shelter of the DRK in Berlin-Karlshorst.
There about 300 children are housed in.
In his very touching speech, Dr. Seiters described the situation in the refugee shelters of the DRK. He praised the charity event of the Ambassadors Club as an important sign and called on all those present to continue working also after the christmas distress for the pe-ople and especially for the children..
The President of the Ambassadors Club, Mania Feilcke-Dierck was pleased to be able to welcome back more than 120 invited guests. Following all those present sang together German and English Christmas and Advent charols to the tunes of Pianist Todd Fletcher.
The following day, Dr. Seiters and Mania Feilcke-Dierck handed over the gifts to the child-ren in the shelter in Karlshorst.
