On Tuesday, November 24th at the invitation of the Ambassadors club numerous Excellencies from all over the world visited the exhibition „The Botticelli Renaissance“ in the art gallery (Gemäldegalerie) at the Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz.
The president of the club, Mania Feilcke-Dierck was delighted to welcome the Apostolic Nuncio, S. E. Nikola Eterovic and the Japanese ambassador, S. E. Takeshi Nakane among others.
The director of the art gallery, Prof. Dr. Bernd Lindemann personally led the tour through the exhibition.
The exhibition traces the history of the shifting appropriations and reevaluations right up to the present and it is the first to present the artist’s work – a selection of more than 50 originals by Botticelli – in the context of these adaptations and interpretations. Botticelli’s work has the spirit of timeless beauty.
The Excellencies were completely enthusiastic about the exhibition and the knowledgeable guide Prof. Dr. Lindemann.
„The Botticelli Renaissance“ will continue until January 24th 2016.
